A new era has just begun!

The new Energean map.jpg

Dear new colleagues,

We have completed the acquisition of Edison E&P and I am delighted to welcome all of you to the Energean team!

This is an incredible milestone for our business and I’m very excited about the potential it unlocks for us in the years to come.  We have shaped an outstanding team to further strengthen our position in the market with a focus on the Mediterranean region.

This acquisition is transformational for Energean, diversifying us into nine countries of operation and materially increasing our production and cash flow, even before we bring our flagship gas development in Israel, Karish, into production next year.

In 2019 we became the first independent E&P to set a net zero target for 2050 and we are on track to reduce our carbon intensity by 70% by 2022.

As you will discover, our ESG ethos is core to everything we do at Energean and will govern how we manage the assets that we are acquiring today. This ethos is something we are very proud of and I am sure that all of our new employees will also be proud of how we operate and of being part of the Energean family.

Our ambition is to drive the energy transition in the Mediterranean and be the leading independent E&P company in the region. But most important is our vision to build a business and employee culture which is safe for our teams and that fosters creativity through diversity of thought and inclusion. We must support and respect one another so that together we can build the best team that will further enhance our already impressive track record in the Mediterranean.

As we reach the end of 2020 I feel optimistic that a return to a more familiar form of normality in 2021 is in sight and so I look forward to being able to meet you all in person once it is safe to do so.

In the meantime, welcome on board! I truly believe we have all the ingredients to build a remarkable company and you are all going to play a special part in that.
