Energean awards monetary prizes to graduates of the East Macedonia - Thrace Technical University
For one more year, Energean awarded monetary prizes to graduates of the East Macedonia - Thrace Technical University (EMaTTech - TEI Kavalas)
The prizes were awarded to graduates of MSc in Oil & Gas Technology, a programme which combines engineering and business studies and is offered by the Department of Petroleum, Natural Gas Technology and Mechanical Engineering, in collaboration with the Department of Business Administration and the Department of Accounting at EMaTTech. The prizes were awarded to Diamantis Pasadakis and Konstantinos Kiourtzidis, both Kavala residents who were selected due to their academic performance.
The prizes as well as the degrees were presented to the two graduates by Mr. Evangelos Leovaris, member of Energean's Corporate Social Responsibility Department in the context of the graduate ceremony, which was held at the Technical University premises in Kavala. The Director of the Post Graduate Programme and EMaTTech Vice Rector, Professor Mr. Athanasios Mitropoulos and the Dean of the Technological Applications Faculty Professor Mr. Achilleas Christoforidis expressed their thanks to Energean for its continuous collaboration with, and support of EMaTTech.
On the occasion of the graduation and award ceremony, Mrs. Ilia Rigas, Head of Energean's Corporate Social Responsibility Department stated:
"It is our pleasure and we believe that it is also our duty to support the new generation of technical personnel which will staff Greece's upstream sector in the future. Through our permanent collaboration with EMaTTech, we aim to secure a high level of education and employment options at their place of recidence for the young people who have chosen to work in the upstream sector, which is a sector offering jobs, income and know-how in the Kavala area for almost 40 years".
It should be noted that more than 100 EMaTTech graduates work in Energean operations throughout the Eastern Mediterranean region.
