On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the contribution of all our female staff across the Energean Group and Energean’s commitment to diversity, equity & inclusion.

The United Nations call to action for IWD 2025 is “Equal rights. Equal opportunities. Equal power. https://www.unwomen.org/en/get-involved/international-womens-day  Energean has demonstrated these behaviours from the start.

As a proud member of the Inclusive Employers network, and as a recognised ESG leader, Energean has always been committed to the principles of diversity, equity & inclusion. At Energean, we know that our people are our strength. We want to empower our team so that we can all give our best; we have to be able bring our whole self to work.

For everyone to be treated equally, we offer flexibility which underwrites equity and a culture of equality. This guarantees equal opportunities.

It is well known that women manage additional challenges based around care for family members. Energean has always called itself a family. This is not just a slogan; it can be seen across a range of long standing policies and the way we engage with our colleagues.

When comes to equal power and equal rights, we have always looked to create a culture of equality. 2024 showed a 5% increase in women in the top pay band quartile of the company. As stated last year, unlike some of our peers, we do not have a gender pay gap that disadvantages women. On average we pay our female colleagues 18% more.

From our Chair, through Exco and Department Heads down through every role and rank, our female colleagues help “Empower Energean”. Today is the day to say “thank you” and positively recognise your contribution to Energean’s shared success.
