About Energean

Energean is an international oil & gas Exploration & Production company currently focusing on the Mediterranean and North African region where it operates oil & gas assets in Greece and Egypt.

Energean is the only operator of Oil and Gas in Greece operating the development areas of Prinos and South Kavala, where it holds a 100% interest.  The Company’s oil and gas assets have been in production since 1977 through a system of three offshore oil platforms, one gas platform and a comprehensive onshore plant with 500,000  bbls of crude oil storage capacity, offshore loading facilities, de-sulphurisation and 17 MW power generation facilities.

In 2009, Energean acquired a 2,000 km 2D Seismic survey offshore Greece identifying new potential exploration targets, which are currently being evaluated.  

Aegean Energy (Egypt) Limited in Egypt holds two exploration licenses (PSA):

1. Concession Agreement in the East Magawish Block (offshore) in the area of the Gulf of Suez holding a 85% working Interest

2. Concession Agreement in the West Kom Ombo Block (onshore) in the Upper Egypt holding a 90% working interest

Energean employs 300 dedicated oil & gas professionals with significant in house expertise in Exploration, Drilling, Production & Reservoir Management and Onshore & Offshore operations in high H2S environment.
